Your stylist will talk to your child directly about what is happening before it happens, and will work around a wriggle rather than fight it.
A private studio helps here more than anywhere else on the menu. There is no queue, no row of strangers and no loud room, so a child who has had a difficult haircut before gets a much quieter second try. You are welcome to stay right beside the chair for the whole appointment.

- Detangle at home if you can - it makes the studio part much shorter.
- Tell your stylist in advance about anything that helps or upsets your child.
- Bring a photo if your child has a specific idea; it is easier than describing it.
